The top menu is working fine, but using the other menu, the browser  
hangs and nothings going to happen; finally a message pops up

Can you reproduce this?

Further the popupblocker becomes active except for the directly  
clickable "forwarding"-button in the top menu. Will you be able to  
pass by this somehow or will I have to add an exception in chrome for  
horde?
