For the University of Vermont's installation with current pear  
packages (so, IMP 5.0.17, Horde_Imap_Client .1.3.1, etc.), this is  
reproducible consistently when the trash folder is turned off and  
deleted messages are set to be displayed (pine style, crossed-out in  
place).  I drag a message to another mailbox and it is left in the  
display marked deleted (though really gone from the server mailbox).   
If I set "Hide Deleted" or enable the trash folder, the message  
correctly disappears from the display when moved.
