Log into IMP, go to "preferences" (in German "Benutzereinstellungen")  
and choose "S/MIME".
On the page is a red text, where the first sentence is in German "Die  
S/MIME-Unterstüzung benötigt Popup-Fenster, um zu funktionieren." (in  
English it's "S/MIME support requires popup windows to be used.")
"Unterstützung" is misspelled - in the translation the "t" is missing  
in front of the "z".
