Yes, my fault: although I don't recall having changed it, the  
configuration for an add'l calendar to sync was gone - resulting in an  
almost empty calendar on the remote device. Once I re-added that  
calendar in my kronolith sync preferences and fully re-established the  
association (I really had to delete and re-add the account on the  
remote), both sets of events were synced.
