We are not using menus to render the mailbox list.  We are using the  
listview widget.

Not to mention that the custom menu selection does nothing for us  
since it wouldn't allow us to click on the message row and actually  
view the message (which is much more important - UI speaking - than  
allowing multiple message selection).
