The stream itself is not any different, but the device may be  
requesting the attachment data using a different commands. E.g.,  
ITEMOPERATIONS vs GETATTACHMENT requests. Both are valid requests  
under 12.1 and 14.1 but maybe the device favors one over the other in  
different EAS versions. The former is a more involved request which,  
among other things calculates the size of the stream using stream  
commands such as fseek() and ftell() whereas the latter does not.
