I installed a different application for ActiveSync on one of these  
devices (Moxier Mail). All accounts that previously failed to  
synchronize using the built-in Android 4.2.2 Email and Calendar  
applications now synchronize just fine.

I blame Google for their shoddy ActiveSync implementation. Sorry for  
all the noise.
