- delete the new, limited horde config object from IMAP store
- log off from Horde
- remove the single cache object that holds the user configuration  
(it's a single file)
- log in

I then was able to a a single new identity, but not more than that.

My only way to get to add all my three identities seems to be to  
delete *all* preferences from IMAP, log off and start all over. Not  
good.
