Check: Preferences for Mail - Drafts
Drafts mailbox: Drafts
Save drafts automatically while composing?: Every Minute

After one minute there is a request to:  
http://demo.horde.org/services/ajax.php/imp/autoSaveDraft

Mode: Basic - no messages where saved in the Drafts folder

Check: Preferences for Mail - Drafts
Drafts mailbox: Drafts
Save drafts automatically while composing?: Every Minute

New Message.
Start typing.

Even after 15 Minutes there was no request for Autosaving and no draft  
mail in the Drafts folder.
