That's not a new issue.. I know that, because it once worked and has
been removed due to understandable reasons, but how about to let the
admin decide to turn this feature on or off?

It would be a great benefit to have the ability to sync shared
calendars through ActiveSync for users with mobile devices.

For example:
We have several calendars in our company. One unshared user-calendard
and a few others ("Appointments","Vacation","Internal Use") which I
created. Those are shared and accessible for the company users, but
cannot be seen in the users sync-section (except for me , because I'm
the owner).
I want to allow users to sync the specified shared calendars.

I thought about a flag within the database, like "allow_user_sync". If
this one is set (NOT NULL), the ActiveSync/SyncML will ignore the
ownership and allow syncing, otherwise it won't sync.
This should be a property setting of the specific calendar.

I also know there are people out there who have this issue on their
wishlist, too..
Any chance to put this thing to life?
I'd like to help, if you want..
