Chora requires second login when using SSH tunnel

When I access chora for the first from the horde menu I am asked for 
a login even though I have already logged into horde using imp 
authentication. 

This does not happen when I do not use the ssh tunnel (less secure). 

setup: 

Horde, imp, chora from CVS 10am 22.03.2002 GMT. 
openssh server 
windows ssh client with port 80 forwarded from remote network. 

We've had a similar problem before, where for every page access I was 
required to authenticate. This time I only need to authenticate when 
try to access chora for the first time. 

Any ideas?
