Don't assume it's a STATUS_NOTFOUND

This will cause some clients to remove the entry from the device.
Currently we can't determine if it's a true NOT_FOUND, or some other
issue. So, until we can return a correct status code (which is a BC
break), we just return a general SERVER_ERROR.
