  Added a $namespace parameter to the Prefs constructor that will be used to
  keep sets of preferences separated.
  
  This is the API change, only.  I haven't actually written the rest of the
  code yet, but I wanted to make this part of the interface public as soon as
  possible to prevent future conflicts.
