  Log:
  Brought auth.sql and prefs.sql here from imp/scripts/db.  This is a first
  cut of dragging over some of the relevant pieces from the 2.2.x tree, and
  updating the documentation.  MySQL is the only one I'm sure of working;
  the others could use a review and some bolstering.
