  Log:
  Finished the rewriting.  This script will now handle "2.0-RC<n>" versions
  correctly (the CVS tag will be "2_0_RC<n>" but the version will be "2.0").
  It also uses the new numbering progression "2.0" "2.0.1" "2.0.2" (no
  "2.0.0") and generates diffs from "2.0.1" on.
