  Log:
  Remove the test for IT_Error since its been moved from php4/pear
  to pear now.
  
  Replace the 'recent pear' check with a test for
  PEAR::registerShutdownFunc() instead.
  
  Also make the 'unknown error' message a bit more informative with
  a filename and lineno entry.
