  Log:
  When creating an identity object for another user, this user's preferences
  were never retrieved.
  This still doesn't work because the prefs cache doesn't know about different
  users so that already cached pref values never get overriden if a preference
  object for another user gets created. Someone else might want to fix this
  perhaps.
