  Alright, I think this finally works for all cases that I can find, and does it cleanly.
  
  We now track the current imgId, and only reposition the layer if that imgId is changing
  (or when we're displaying it for the first time).
  
  The onclick handlers all return false; the links are all empty.
  
  Let me know if you find any problems with this.
