  It looks to me like Maintenance really doesn't get anything from using
  SessionObjects; SessionObjects with the prune flag set to off is the
  same as using the session directly. So this looks equivalent, but much
  simpler, to me.
  
  I've always been at a loss as to how to thoroughly test maintenance,
  so help is welcome.
