  Log:
  IE doesn't support alpha PNG transparency, so this graphic looks terrible
  in IE (a big, grey box background where the transparency should be).
  And converting the current PNG to 8-bit 'GIF-like' transparency loses too much
  information and looks ugly also.
  Therefore, go back to the old search graphic for now until we can find a
  better one.
