Our goal is to create a web application to allow anyone to turn their personal book collection into part of a ((Collective Library)) or contribute to a ((Book Commons)).

((Groo)) is the implementation of the Wandering Books idea in Horde.

http://wanderingbooks.org is the test site of Wandering Books, where Groo can be seen working.

Wandering Books was born in the 2006 edition of [http://code.google.com/soc/ Google Summer of Code]. Our mentor was Chuck Hagenbuch of the [http://www.horde.org Horde Project]. Without the support of Google, Horde and Chuck, this would still be just an idea.
