  Log:
  Simplify keyboard navigation a bit, and restore old behavior (I
  believe). Now there's no need for left/right to switch between subject
  and checkbox; space always toggles selection of the current message,
  and return views it.
  
  I had never used alt navigation before, so Jan, I need your take on
  whether or not that's correct.
