  Log:
  If AJAX call returns nothing, explictly catch this since evalJSON will throw
  an error in this case.
  Also, catch an extremely rare fringe case where multiple versions of DIMP open
  on different hosts in the same browser, with one of those browser windows
  originally opened by one of the DIMP installs, would crash the other version.
  You would probably only ever hit this if you are a dev.
