  Somebody once asked me why I hate Safari so much.  Because of crap like this.
  Honestly!? $(this.htmlArea).hide() doesn't work but Element.hide(this.htmlArea)
  does?  It's the same function!!!
  To restore my sanity, make several nifty invoke() optimizations.
