  Log:
  - Check for errors in the callback from google's getMaxZoomAtLatLng() method.
  - Provide ability to turn on/off calling google's getMaxZoom... method since
  it seems to be a relatively slow operation at times, and lately has been
  randomly returning 500 status codes.
