Yes; I will commit it.  (I have a few other of these I need to do.)
However, there's no guarantee there will ever be a 2.2.6 release; but it
will be in CVS and someone could easily take advantage of your work.

If you could put it in a tar.gz file and point me to where I can download
it, that would be best.
