Hi,
Since this is an English speaking mailing list, I will answer in English.
Question was if we are using imp, turba and kronolith in a production
environment.
I'm using these apps currently only for private use, but will probably set up a
modified turba for one of our customers.
Kronolith's state is a rather alpha one, but imp and turba was already reported
to run on quite large systems.
Jan.
Guten Flug! ;-)

Hello,
The new Makefile, which hooks the Horde translationfile to the application
translationfiles, seems to work well!
I also tested it on Nag and Gollem.
I think it can be ported to the other applications.

The only problem is, it assumes horde to be in the parent directory of the
apps. But since the make will mainly be run by developers that should be no
problem.

Subject: Horde translation problem
Hello,
I know this has been an issue before, but I'm still having problems with
gettextstrings from the Horde framework (p.e.
from /horde/templates/login/user.inc). The strings are, or sometimes are not,
translated.
This occurs totaly random. This does not occur within a Horde application.

It happens (sometimes!) after klicking from an application to the Horde
framework or after a reload.

Subject: select fields in compose
Hi,
does anybody see a reason why not to use style="width:" instead of size= in the
input fields of the compose window?
This will be necessary for a nicer ui if we use select boxes for the identities
or selection of ambigous recipients.
I have some code sitting around to choose the recipients out of a list if
expand names returns more than one match.
But there are a lot of things to discuss:
- How to handle if there is more than one recipient and expand returns ambigous
results for one ore more of them? Let the user select from every combination?
Or insert a select field for every recipient?
- How can we let the user change the recipient manually if expand returns more
than one address but not the one that was intended?
- Similar with the From: field: How to let the user change the sender line if
nothing of his identities matches?
A solution for the latter two might be to use javascript and an additional
entry in the select list "Enter manually..." that pops up a javascript input
dialog where the user can edit or insert the appropriate data manually.
Any thoughts? More things to consider?
Jan.

If you think they should be seperate, then they should show up on seperate
pages. Don't present completely seperate things to the user at the same time.
If they're presented at the same time, they automatically look related and
should act that way.
> Since I created the dialog to also work without javascipt, that would be no

If you're planning on somehow making sure that _all_ of IMP works without
javascript, then I think that's a noble goal. But unless you do that (and maybe
until), I'd rather see the UI be consistent; the way the filters UI works is
more intuitive to the user.
Also, as a general trend, I'd like to see javascript used _more_ in Horde to
make forms smarter and easier for the user (a good example is the way the
Kronolith event forms auto-fill/select things for you). This doesn't mean we
have to rely on it - everything works without that javascript - but javascript
isn't going away anytime soon.

The Horde directory should be defined in a variable; that way we can set it
with a configure script or commmand line arg if such becomes necessary. I'll
take a look at it when I have a chance - maybe this afternoon.

What do you mean, it doesn't occur within a Horde application? Can you at least

It's completely random. It's looks the same problem I had with IMP a while ago.

You mean mcal_list_alarms()?

mstore_search_alarm was horribly broken in mstore until quite recently. What
version of mstore do you have?

As long as it works in all of our current browsers, it's fine with me (to the
extent that all of our style sheet stuff works in current browsers).

One set of selection widgets (whatever those end up being) for every recipient.
http://chuck.bitgroup.com/weboutlook-compose.gif is a screenshot of weboutlook;
I think that's a very reasonable way to do it.

Just include an Other: option in the list.

How about having a "Custom:" or "New:" option in the identity menu? (Custom is
probably better since it doesn't imply saving the identity).

Ah, okay... like I said. :) Why would you need a seperate window, though? It'd
just blank the appropriate auto-filled fields for you, right?
