It depends. The _right_ way to do things is to have a stable
tree, a development tree, and a branch off of the stable tree for
each release. That last branch starts with the first release
candidate and ends with the ultimate release.

Well, our development cycles haven't been quick enough lately to make this
satisfying. I'd be okay with making a concerted effort to change that. Anyone
else?

Yup, there's an rc tarball up for Turba too (we have a 1.0, a 2.0, and a 3.0
<g>).

I think this will be annoying at first, but it's the right thing to do... (err,
what Jon described, too. yeah, that).

Me, tired? .... *thud*

I like consistency too. I think that's headed in the right direction, but any
chance you can make everything the same width? Having the top table be centered
and small looks odd to me.

Yes, yes, yes. This is (at least) half the point of the Horde2 Framework (<g>);
build a nice small specialized tool and then tie it into everything else
easily...

Do you really need this in the same application, as opposed to integrated
pieces?

Subject: Problem with unified diffs on cvs.horde.org

I have a problem that appears only with the chora version on cvs.horde.org
not with my local copy of chora. Is it perhaps not in synch with the cvs
version?

If I try to view unified diffs (as for example linked by the cvs log
messages) with an IE 5.5 or 6, the browser wants to download the file
instead of displaying it. I'm not able to trace it from the office but it
seems like the Content-Type header is not set correctly to text/plain.

Yes, it's annoying in that you have to join bugfixes you made to the
release branch also into the development branch but with a little bit of
discipline...

And concerning our long release cycles: For me that's an additional
argument FOR branching: We probably don't want to stop development while
we're in the release/bugfix cycle and we hopefully don't want to implement
any new stuff while trying to iron out bugs from the old one. This in mind
havin two seperate branches seems to be the right decision.

Are you sure? I didn't find the tarball on ftp and it also isn't tagged in
cvs.
