I've had no problems with UW IMAP 2001a here.  I suspect that
most people have had trouble with their own builds of it, or
perhaps there's some major Linux distribution that ships a
configuration that causes problems.

Anyway, my 2001a build from the FreeBSD ports tree works fine.
