[dev] Using OpenLDAP for prefs.

Is anyone else using OpenLDAP for prefs? I have the following issues and
would really appreciate your sharing your thoughts/solutions or by just
letting me know that I am drowning in a glass of water:-).

   * The new pgp options.
Is anyone using these with LDAP and do they work?
Did you make any modifications? If so, would you share them?
   * Default prefs and empty values.
I am still of the opinion that horde/lib/Prefs/ldap.php needs to
check "dirty" preferences for an empty value. If an empty value
is found ldap_mod_del should be applied with the original value
not the empty string. This requirement may be unique with OpenLDAP.

Has anyone solved this in a different way? I have attempted to
come up with a patch to do the above and have been unsuccessful,
       so far.:-(

Jon, was kind enough to send a patch a few days ago but I wasn't
able to debug it, that replaced the empty value with a temp value
and then converted it back to an empty value. Should work but I
       continued to get:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in
          /usr/src/horde/lib/Registry.php on line 590

       With nothing in the horde.log.

Thanks in advance for your help,

ed
