[dev] CVS HEAD problem with MacOS + Netscape

Using a Mac with MacOS 8/9 and Netscape 4.7x, I can access my 40 or so day
old CVS HEAD version, but not my current version of CVS HEAD...  Works fine
on all other browsers/OS combinations I've tried.

With old version, works like normal.

With new version, trying to access the site, the browser hangs.  Hitting
the "stop" button reveals the screen as it should be but with all graphics
broken.  If you wait 5 minutes, it will eventually return a timeout error.
Disabling javascript makes it work fine, but without javascript (obviously)
and without style sheets working (???).

So it appears we have some java script that is breaking Netscape 4.7x on
MacOS systems.

To prove I wasn't totally mad, I tried it with the Horde demo site (works)
and the hub.org demo site (hangs).  So it isn't just my install.  This
has been confirmed on 4 iMacs running various versions of OS 8.x and 9.x.

I've yet to find any solution.  Anyone have any ideas???
