[dev] pull down menu

I was today playing with the idea of changing the 'administration' link in the 
top menu (when logged in as admin) with a pull down menu. Basically it is 
annoying I find that I hit one link to go to another link.

I found a nice possible script at the 'PX : the PHP code exchange'

But got bogged down at implementing it, (I tried with 
http://px.sklar.com/code.html?id=384)

I'll try and continue, but thought maybe someone else would be quicker at it, 
and have a much better understanding of it.
