In the interest of scalability, I'd like to see this be one-preference-per group
- putting all groups into one pref seems like it'd get unwieldy, but one per
group seems doable (and you can avoid serialization that way, too).

Also, I'd really like to see new code for Troll use Horde standards, and so be
inside the Troll:: or other appropriate classes, instead of adding to the
current mess of stuff.
