I tested now several different versions of c-client w/o success.
But after I conpiled and installed a new version of libiconv (and gettext) and
recompiled php aswell (--enable-mbstring=all, --enable-mbregex,
--with-iconv=/usr/local) it worked using c-client-2002e.
