I can't reproduce this and I don't see any code that would make it so. 
In fact,
I'm in the middle of cleaning up a bunch of things that seem to show too
*much*, even when horde is hidden in the registry. So I think something 
else is
going on for you - maybe you disabled your prefs driver?
