[dev] Kronolith Free/Busy view

Hello guys,

I'm going to be doing some more development on Kronolith, spurred on by
requirements of one of our customers, and I would like to integrate as much
of my work as possible back into Horde (I've had enough of maintaining
separate forks :-).

Basically our client wants a free/busy display, similar to what is currently
available in the "Edit Attendees" screen, but as a separate application -
i.e. no calendaring functionality as such, just the free/busy view, as well
as the 'view event' screen.

I'll also be extending the free/busy display so that you can click on busy
times of other people and be able to view details of their respective events
through the current "view event" screen (if you have read permissions, of
course), and then in the future allow clicking on free time slots to create
an event in Kronolith starting at the selected time.

What I've thought of doing is creating a separate view out of the free/busy
screen, so that Kronolith's top-level will basically contain the current day,
week, month, etc views, as well as a new "Free/Busy" view. This will then be
easy for me to strip down to what we need to do for our client, as well as
adding a new feature/view to Kronolith itself.

Once the "click on a free time slot for a new meeting" functionality is also
integrated the free/busy view will then become yet another way to view your
calendar data (and others', simultaneously), and an interface to create
events at specific times - the benefit being that you can organise a free
time period amongst several people when they will all be attending the event.

What do you think about this idea? Would there be any interest in what I'm
proposing?

Cheers,
