This is a great idea, but I've had a problem with the app menu selection. I
can't find a way to deselect *everything* in the select list once something is
selected. My system was setup to display the "Logout" item in the app menu.
Now I want to remove it, but can't figure out how to un-select it. It seems
that once something is clicked in the select list, there's no way to remove
all selections completely.

Or am I doing something wrong?
