After 'shame shame' updating the config files, at least for me the 
frameset started to work again, but no menu. This hint made me to play 
with the registry.php file and when I set the kronolith-menu 
'application' on inactive instead of block, the menu works!

For me, this is enough at the moment so many thanks.
