[dev] ie and its way of displaying png-images / openning or saving pdf-attachments in imp

hello everybody,

has anybody seen the ie doing the same funny thing with images (see
attached file)? i see this since you changed from gif to png for images.

it only comes up in a sporadic matter, sometimes a reload of the page
resolves the problem.

by the way - all other browsers i tested (firefox, opera, konqueror) do
render the page always correctly.

another problem, also related only to the ie, is that i can neither
display pdf-attachments nor save them to disk. same thing as above about
all other browsers - here it works. displaying pdfs results in opening a
window, obviuosly the acrobat reader gets startet but then nothing
happens. trying to save the attachment to disk results in an
error-message that the file could not be read.

any ideas or suggestions?
