Yes (I assume you mean the PEAR Mail_Mime package).  See
framework/MIME/MIME/Structure.php - it is needed by the parseTextMIMEMessage()
function.  This function is mandatory for viewing PGP and S/MIME 
messages.  I'm
not sure where else we use it.
