Nevermind.  I was thinking this would be useful for our XML parsing  
until I actually RTFM and saw that the xml extension uses a builtin  
version of expat and there is no need to link to an outside XML lib  
(this is what I thought the XML extension needed and I was trying to  
see if we could reduce a PHP build dependency).
