[dev] looking for a workaround for Pear Bug #12490 TextWiki

Multibyte char set conversion is completely out of my league.  What I  
see is that with php5-5.2.5 and the htmlentities/htmlspecialchars  
changes to php are not allowing TextWiki to render horde/wicked pages.

Any suggestions appreciated.  I know that I can go back to 5.2.4 if  
all else fails but I would prefer not too.
