After some further discussion among the Horde Developers we feel the
best approach would be to use the "slug" model as implemented by
Whups and Ansel. This mechanism allows users to choose a free-form
name (including special characters) as they see fit and still
optionally add a "simple" name which will be the share (calendar) ID
used for URLs. None of the Horde developers are currently working on
this though so if it's something you would like to submit a patch for
we would appreciate seeing it. At this late stage in the release
process I can't guarantee it will make it into the version of
Kronolith that is released with Horde 3.2 but it's not impossible
that it will make it into a subsequent dot-release.
When you have the patch ready please open an "Enhancement" ticket in
the Kronolith queue for us at http://bugs.horde.org
Thanks!
