[dev] WARNING: backup before updating!

Obviously Git silently overwrites local files if the same files have  
been added upstream. WTF?
Since almost all configuration files are shipped now through Git, any  
local changes will get lost when you update from Git next time! Make a  
backup BEFORE you are going to update!
