Yes, by default. But at least Cyrus and Courier allow to disable case
sensitivity. Major IMAP service providers such as Gmail and Hotmail
disable it too. I just don't see a reason why they shouldn't, most
users doesn't see the difference between Name.Surname at example.com and
name.surname at example.com anyway. And they ALWAYS mis-tell their emails
to other users. That's why I suggested normalize all usernames in all
applications.
If this cannot be done, I agree with you that keeping hordeauth is more
important though.
