Last Debian with PHP 5.2 reached end of life last month.

RHEL and all the distributions that come from it (CentOS, Scientific  
Linux, etc.) never shipped 5.2. Current version ships 5.3 and version  
before that shipped 5.1.

So IMHO there is no point supporting 5.2 anymore.
