I have just looked at the Kolab backend in Roundcube that has been provided by
Kolab Systems. They actually use loads of Horde/Kolab code (forked,  
gnaaaa...).

So basically, I guess it would make sense joining efforts here.  
Roundcube and Horde are the only two webmailers supporting Kolab as a  
storage backend. I have tested Roundcube and can now compare it to  
Horde (which I like better). So I will try to spend some time on Horde  
upstream esp. working on the Kolab backend.

Ack. I have already forked Horde on Github and will send in pull requests.

The Kolab data format (Horde/Kolab/Format/XML) e.g. is referenced by  
the Roundcube libkolab plugin and required_once in that code. It feels  
a bit of communication is needed so that we can get rid of su much  
duplicated code (in roundcube-plugin-kolab). I will address that issue  
to the Kolab maintainers.
