Since it really uses the chmod command, why change it? 

One thing that would be cool would be to merge mnemo with gollem.
I realize that they both use different backends, but the ability
to edit files within gollem would be great. Another thought would
be to allow imp to save files into the whole thing, sans headers.
This would allow a user to  search/see a file instead of a mail
folder, which sometimes contains far too much header info anyhow.
Heck, why stop there, why not allow this info to be tied into 
Whups for case history help, etc.?
