[gollem] dot files and gollem

how can i turn off displaying the dot files for all users globally when 
they are using gollem?

i know this is probably a very simple thing to do, but i've been looking 
at the files for the better part of the day... and all i've found is a 
setting to turn it off or on in the users preferences

i just want viewing them to be turned off autmatically
