Ok, I do the following:
Scenario 1: Click on the menu entry -> others/file manager. Then I am in
the home directory of the logged in user and do not see any shared folders.
Scenario 2: In the file manager view I click on the [Home] link  which
leads me to http://myserver.tld/horde/gollem/manager.php?dir=%2F Here I
only see shared folders, if already the root folder was shared with me.
Scenario 3: Click on the menu entry -> others/file manager/"gollem" share
(name configured in the configuration). Same as scenario 1
